Case study · United Kingdom · white-label for B4B
A B2B store where only a logged-in trade customer sees the price
Guardian Automotive, a UK supplier of automotive parts and accessories, wanted to streamline sales to trade customers without exposing personalised pricing. We built a B2B platform tied to its stock and customer management system - white-label development for the B4B agency.
Client and context
Guardian Automotive sells automotive parts and accessories to trade customers. The sales process needed streamlining, and the stock and personalised pricing data sat in a legacy system accessible over a SOAP API.
Challenge
The platform had to show current stock, but prices - sensitive and personalised per customer - only after login. A visitor who was not logged in had to be able to request an order without seeing the price list. All of this without replacing the source system, which had to be spoken to in its own language: SOAP and files exchanged over SFTP.
Solution
We built a B2B store with real-time inventory synchronisation, secure login with conditional price visibility, a product catalogue with detailed information and an order request feature for users who are not logged in. The integration with the stock and customer management system runs over the SOAP API, while frequent data updates arrive over SFTP and are cross-referenced.
